I always learn so many cool things when I attend an event hosted by Momtrends. I recently attended their Holiday Showcase and found some really great tips and gift ideas. The event was held at the Roberta Freymann’s Roberta Roller Rabbit Duane Street store in NYC and hosted by Nicole Feliciano of Momtrends.

Marie Ackerman of Teleflora gave some awesome tips on Holiday decorating.
Marie also told us to get the maximum life from your flowers, keep them well watered. Flowers and evergreens drink a lot of water, especially in extra warm rooms or those with fireplaces. She also discussed whether or not that adding a clear carbonated beverage like Sprite or 7 Up was good to “perk” up flowers. Missy said that it wasn’t good, it will perk up your flowers for a little while and then make them go bad sooner.

Got a big event coming up? The Glam Squad will actually come to your house and get your hair red-carpet ready. They will do a blowout, fancy braid or updo. This would be great if you are the party host — you won’t have to worry about dashing across town in the winter and risking your new ‘do before your guest come over.
Welch’s showed us how to mix up holiday drinks and smoothies, using their delicious juices and frozen fruit. We are huge smoothie fans, so this was great. I actually buy their frozen fruit and we drink their grape juice on Friday nights when we light the candles for Shabbat.
Santa stopped by to wish us a Happy Holidays, courtesy of Fruit of the Loom and graciously gifted us all with these fabulous warm sweatshirts that have a media pocket (because EVERYONE carries their smartphone and you needs a safe place to stash it). You can see the sweatshirt on Santa in the pic. Did you know that Santa uses a smart phone?
